Whether it be technical engineering, community service, or financial analysis, my project portfolio is diverse.

Duke AERO

  • High-Power Rocketry Airbrakes and Custom Flight Computer

In order to accurately reach a taget altitude, variable drag brakes take input data and make real-time adjustments in a project combining mechanical design, electronics, control systems, and programming.

  • 2023 Spaceport America Cup Rocket - Blue Reaper

As the Avionics Team Lead for this rocket, most of my work focused on the onboard electronics and computer systems. However, I spent time on many other parts of the project, while also serving the club through education and leadership.

  • 2022 Spaceport America Cup Rocket - Coach 30K

As an active member of both the Structures and Payload teams, I spent time working on composite layups, structural design, machining, and electronics. Despite a failed test launch, the team rallied to attend Spaceport!

Professional Experience and Research

Kiewit Corporation

As a Field/Office Engineer Intern, I spent time on mechanical design, preparing work plans, procuring materials, and tracking costs for the tunneling division.

Space Diplomacy and Economics Lab

Researching current global supply chains and the effects of modern policy on the future of the space and technology industries.

Duke Aeroelasticity Group

The university wind tunnel provides opportunities to test airfoil performance while simultaneously developing a new mouting structure for the testing apparatus.

Professional Caddie

Caddying for over 7 years at Omaha Country Club (including the 2021 US Senior Open) has given me significant customer service and hospitality experience.

Rotaract Club of Duke University

  • Our club collected funding to build two libraries that were placed within the Durham community. I worked on logistics for both builds and taught best building practices to other members.

  • As Director of Professional Development, I organized several events that brought community members to speak to Duke students. As the host, I facilitated discussions between students and industry mentors during Career Night, while Service Above self focused on the local and international service experience of adult Rotary members.

  • As Treasurer, I worked with the Finance Director to generate funds for the club through various events, including a bake sale and the coordination of a compensated volunteering activity with the Duke Athletic Department. Beyond fundraising, I managed the financials for the club and laid out plans for effectively spending our money.

  • On numerous occasions, our members have participated in letter writing activities for a variety of recipients. Projects have included writing to seniors in nursing homes, sick children, and hospital patients overseas.
